The apartment has been renovated to a high modern standard and yet it has retained many of its beautiful, original, architectural features: high ceilings, double doors and parquet floors. It offers open-plan living and dining area, modern kitchen - fully equipped with hob/oven, microwave, toaster and washing machine/dryer. There’s a comfortable double sofa bed, satalite TV (with international stations and radio)and a DVD player. It has two bedrooms : a large double and a twin.
The old town, which is a leisurely walk away, has a great selection of first-class restaurants, bars, clubs, theatres and boutiques. Try to make time to visit one of the bohemian cafes for hot chocolate and a slice of a home made cake, a glass of wine or the excellent local beer.
Just round the corner,there is a supermarket open 24hrs where you can buy all the necessary ingredients for a meal at home, when you don't feel like going out. There is also a smaller shop in the street (1 min away)selling fresh bread and other basic produce.
At the end of the street you can jump on a tram for a short ride to Wavel Castle and the Vistula river and to the famous Kazimierz, the former Jewish Quarter, where Steven Spielberg filmed many scenes for ‘Schindler’s List. Kazimierz with its interesting bars,restaurants and shops is a must for any visitor to Krakow.
